Six school districts are participating in this GEAR UP program:

Alice ISD (William Adams Middle School and Alice High School)
Brooks County ISD (Falfurrias Junior High and Falfurrias High School)
Corpus Christi ISD (Driscoll Middle School and Miller High School)
Kingsville ISD (Memorial Middle School and H. M. King High School)
Mathis ISD (McCraw Middle School and Mathis High School)
Odem ISD (Odem Junior High and Odem High School)

The districts participating in the intensive STAR intervention program were selected due to the absence of a current GEAR UP grant in their area. District leaders have recognized the needs of their students and have shown a keen interest in promoting systemic change using GEAR UP intervention strategies.
